What is the process for getting formal party backing for endorsing the NUT Manifesto? Would be good to do so in the run up to the election if the union is organising hustings.

The Observer/Guardian says here that 'competition for the teacher vote is hotting up'.
I don't remember that being said before previous general elections which have always seemed to be about being toughest on teachers. I think this change is, at least in part, down to the NUT's campaigning.
However so far none of the mainstream parties, with the honourable exception of the Greens, have really convinced teachers they are going to address the central problems.

We have to intensify our campaign in all areas, reminding MPs and prospective MPs that there are about 1000 teachers in the average constitunecy.
Please volunteer to lobby your MP and also to help your local association organise hustings meetings and other work around the manifesto.
Just a few teachers going to see their MPs ( go with a mate and explain your workload) will have a big effect.
